Magnitude policies
Artwork and proof policy
How customer files, online designs, preflight findings, proofs, and approvals are expected to move through Magnitude.
Version 2026-07-21 | Updated July 21, 2026
Customer artwork
Customers must have permission to reproduce submitted text, images, logos, trademarks, and other content. Files containing unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or unsafe content can be rejected.
- Uploaded originals remain separate from previews and production revisions.
- Online designs retain layered design data separately from preview images.
- Active file content such as scripts is not accepted as print artwork.
File preparation
Files should match the selected product size, include required bleed, keep important content inside the safe area, and provide sufficient effective resolution at final placed size.
- RGB artwork may be converted to CMYK and can shift in color.
- Low-resolution artwork is flagged rather than silently described as 300 DPI.
- Automated preflight reduces risk but does not replace final production review.
Proofs and approval
Proof links must be private, signed, and time-limited. Approval applies to the identified artwork revision and does not authorize a later replacement file.
- Customers should verify spelling, dates, contact details, orientation, page order, safe placement, and bleed.
- Magnitude must keep the approved revision, approval record, and resulting production-file checksum together.
Production capability
A file must not be labeled CMYK, PDF/X, flattened, vector, or 300 DPI unless automated inspection verifies that capability. Files that cannot be verified remain blocked for production or require a controlled specialist workflow.
Questions about these policies can be submitted through the Magnitude contact form.
