What Does Magnitude’s $500 Essential Business Website Include?

The Essential Business Website is a fixed-scope starter option for a small business that needs a clear, professional informational website without ecommerce, advanced systems, or a large custom build. The total setup price is $500. It is not a vague “starting at” price for the defined package. A project that fits can move through a straightforward written scope, while redesigns, ecommerce, business systems, advanced features, integrations, and larger projects remain custom quoted.

The price and payment schedule

The Service Order documents the scope and responsibilities before the starting payment is due. Final approval confirms that the agreed pre-launch work is ready, and launch follows the final payment and ordinary launch preparation.

What the package includes

“Up to five informational pages or equivalent page sections” allows the structure to fit the business. Typical selections may include Home, About, Services, Gallery or Portfolio, FAQ, and Contact. Those are examples of possible selections, not six included pages. The signed scope identifies which pages or equivalent sections are part of the project.

Responsive layout

The agreed content and layout are prepared to remain usable across practical phone, tablet, and desktop sizes. Responsive design does not mean every browser or device will render every detail identically.

One basic contact form

The package includes one basic contact form routed to one selected email address. It is intended for an ordinary inquiry path. Advanced forms, complex conditional logic, booking, accounts, databases, or paid integrations are not part of this fixed scope.

Two consolidated revision rounds

For each included round, the client gathers requested changes into one clear response. Consolidating feedback reduces conflicting edits sent across separate messages. The rounds apply to work within the signed scope; new pages, major structural changes, or new features need separate written approval and may require a separate quote.

When the project timeline begins

The timeline begins only after Magnitude has all four starting requirements:

1. The signed Service Order
2. The $250 starting payment
3. Complete content and instructions
4. Required access

Dates remain estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. An inquiry alone does not start the timeline. Missing content, unclear instructions, or unavailable account access can prevent work from beginning even when the project has already been discussed.

Domain and launch structure

One available, non-premium standard domain may be included. The client remains the beneficial owner of the domain. Magnitude may administer technical settings needed for launch or managed service, but the client is not renting the business name from Magnitude.

Ordinary renewal for one standard domain is included only while an applicable managed-service plan remains active and paid. Without an active applicable plan, future renewal responsibility must be handled separately.

What the $500 scope does not include

Good fit or custom quote?

A custom quote is not a penalty. It is how Magnitude defines work that cannot responsibly fit inside the fixed starter scope.

Optional managed website care

The optional plan includes managed hosting, SSL and reasonable security configuration, routine software maintenance, monitoring, backups and recovery planning, one standard domain renewal while the plan remains active and paid, and up to 30 minutes of routine website updates per billing month. Unused update time does not roll over. Review, communication, implementation, testing, and publishing count toward included update time. The routine update target is 3–5 business days. The critical issue acknowledgment target is one business day after discovery. The critical issue resolution target is one business day when reasonably possible.

Redesigns, major features, large content changes, paid third-party services, and other out-of-scope work require a separate quote. The plan does not promise uninterrupted uptime, guaranteed resolution, search rankings, leads, or business results. The client pays for hosting, care, updates, troubleshooting, and continued support—not to rent Magnitude’s ownership of the client’s business identity.

What happens from intake through launch

1. Inquiry: The owner shares the business need and current situation.
2. Fit review: Magnitude confirms whether the request fits the Essential package or needs a custom quote.
3. Written scope: The Service Order identifies the approved pages or sections, responsibilities, and terms.
4. Starting requirements: Magnitude receives the signed Service Order, $250 starting payment, complete content and instructions, and required access.
5. Build and review: Magnitude prepares the site, and the client provides up to two consolidated pre-launch revision rounds.
6. Final approval and payment: The client approves the work, and the remaining $250 is due before launch.
7. Launch: Magnitude completes the ordinary launch configuration.
8. Ongoing care: The client may choose the optional managed plan or assume the applicable ongoing responsibilities.
